People tell me I have a good voice and should do voiceovers.
A good voice is definitely an asset to getting work as a VO artist. But it's not the only thing: working with a coach who can bring out the most YOU part of your voice is the key to your success. Working in this business is part talent and part technique, and a strong technique is the cornerstone to every successful voiceover career.
How does voiceover coaching work?
We begin with an initial assessment, where you will read some copy and discuss a timeline for coaching. After that, we will work in hour-long sessions where you will learn the tricks of interpreting commercial copy and nailing your reads. This process will culminate in getting into the studio to record your original commercial demo. Along the way, Robin will give you insight on audition technique and etiquette, how to get an agent and creative ways to market yourself for success in the lucrative business of VO.
